Fall Recruitment is Here — Bring a Friend!
It's that time of year again — Fall Recruitment season is officially underway for Pack 1138! Scouting is all about adventure, friendship, and growing together, and there's no better way to share it than by inviting the families around you to join in. We're kicking things off with our Discover Scouting interest meeting:

This is a great, no-pressure opportunity for curious families to see what Scouting is all about — meet current Scouts and families, hear about our upcoming year, and get their questions answered.
If you know a friend, neighbor, or family member who's been curious about Scouting, now's the time to invite them along! Word of mouth is how our Pack grows, and there's no better ambassador than a current Scout family.

Why We Sell Popcorn: Trail's End Fundraising
Every fall, Pack 1138 kicks off our Trail's End popcorn sale - and it's one of the most important things we do as a Pack all year.
Popcorn sales aren't just about snacks. They're how we fund our entire Scouting program. Proceeds go directly toward pack activities, campouts, den meeting supplies, awards, and equipment - all the things that make Scouting fun and hands-on for our kids. The better we do, the more we can offer throughout the year without raising dues on families.
It's also a great learning experience for our Scouts. Selling popcorn teaches goal-setting, communication, and basic entrepreneurship - real skills, wrapped in a fun fall tradition.
Every Scout who participates helps the whole Pack succeed. Whether your family sells door-to-door, sets up a storefront booth, or shares an online link with friends and relatives, every sale makes a difference.

Pack Dues
Pack dues for the 2026 -2027 year is $140 per scout. The first invoice for $70 will be sent out via Money Minder on September 15th and Payment is due by September Pack Meeting.

Pack 1138 is part of the Lone Star District of the Sam Houston Area Council and is proudly chartered by Grace United Methodist Church in the Houston Heights. Although our pack primarily serves Field, Harvard, Love, and Travis Elementary schools, we warmly welcome Scouts from throughout the greater Houston area.
